Surface Protection

Commercial

Commercial surfaces are an asset. Most businesses treat them like a consumable — replacing and refinishing on a cycle that costs far more than protection ever would.

Every commercial job starts with a surface assessment — what's there, what it's being exposed to, and which protection system will actually perform in that environment. No generic solutions. No products applied to unprepared surfaces.

Hospitality & Food Service

Restaurants, cafes, and bars are cleaned aggressively and often — and the surfaces pay for it. Commercial degreasers, acidic sanitisers, and daily scrubbing strip away factory finishes faster than most operators realise. Benchtops, splashbacks, bar tops, entry glass, and bathroom surfaces all start to look tired well inside the first year of heavy service.

The problem isn't the cleaning. It's that the surfaces were never built to take it. Without protection, you're refinishing and replacing on a cycle that compounds — cost, downtime, and disruption during your busiest periods.

A ceramic coating applied to the right surfaces changes the equation. Cleaning agents glide off instead of degrading the surface. Bacteria has nowhere to harbour. Surfaces stay cleaner for longer, and the hours your team spends scrubbing go down significantly.

Healthcare & Childcare

In healthcare and childcare environments, surface hygiene isn't aesthetic — it's a compliance requirement. High-touch surfaces, shared spaces, bathroom facilities, and treatment areas need to meet infection control standards without being destroyed by the chemical protocols required to maintain them.

Most antimicrobial coatings are a label claim. The systems we apply have independent certification — they physically inhibit bacterial and microbial growth at the surface level, not just on application day.

We coat benchtops, wall panels, cabinetry, bathroom surfaces, seating, and glass across healthcare and childcare facilities. Waiting room chairs, treatment seating, and shared-use furniture carry the same contamination risk as fixed surfaces — and benefit from the same antimicrobial barrier. Easier to clean to standard, more resistant to chemical degradation, and documented for your compliance records.

Fitness & Wellness

Gyms, yoga studios, day spas, and allied health facilities share the same surface problem: high humidity, aggressive cleaning schedules, and constant contact. Rubber flooring, locker room surfaces, and wet area glass all degrade faster in these environments than almost anywhere else.

Sweat, chemicals, and condensation create a cycle of staining, corrosion, and odour that builds in surfaces that aren't protected against it. The wet areas are usually the worst — grout lines, shower screens, and steam room glass that start looking neglected within months of opening.

Ceramic and antimicrobial coatings slow that cycle considerably. Surfaces resist moisture ingress, clean more easily, and the bacterial load on coated surfaces is measurably lower. For businesses where the condition of the space is part of the product, that matters.

Retail & Office

First impressions in retail are made at the entry — the glass, the threshold, the countertop. In office environments, reception areas, meeting rooms, and bathrooms take daily punishment from foot traffic and cleaning staff. Neither has much tolerance for surfaces that look like they need attention.

The issue is that glass scratches, stone stains, and powder-coated metal oxidises — and once the damage is visible, it's expensive to reverse. Most commercial fit-outs don't include surface protection in the build scope, which means the asset starts degrading from day one.

Applied at fit-out or shortly after opening, a ceramic coating system protects entry glass, stone benchtops, bathroom surfaces, customer seating, and facade elements from the wear that accumulates before the fit-out even feels old. Hard seating in retail and office environments sees constant contact — coated surfaces repel staining and clean up faster. Significantly cheaper than the first refurbishment.

Commercial Kitchens

Commercial kitchens are built around one problem: contamination. Every surface — benchtops, splashbacks, equipment surrounds, rangehoods, coolroom panels — is exposed to grease, heat, acidic food product, and chemical sanitisers on rotation. Food-safe compliance isn't optional, and neither is the cleaning schedule that maintains it.

The gap is that surfaces rated for food contact aren't rated for the cleaning regimes required to keep them there. Stainless steel pits and pocks. Grout lines harbour bacteria regardless of how often they're cleaned. Tiles craze and the seams open up.

Our food-safe ceramic coatings bond to stainless, tile, and stone to create a sealed, non-porous layer that's easier to clean to standard and more resistant to the chemical and thermal cycling that degrades unprotected surfaces over time. Fewer hours on cleaning. Longer asset life. Surfaces that hold up to audit.

Signage & Exteriors

UV damage is the primary cause of premature surface failure on commercial exteriors. Rendered facades, cladding panels, external glazing, signage, and entry canopies are all in direct sun exposure — and Queensland's UV index accelerates the fading, chalking, and degradation that makes commercial properties look neglected before they should.

IGL Ecocoat Eclipse is our key product for exterior sun and UV protection. Engineered specifically for surfaces in high UV environments, Eclipse forms a durable, hydrophobic barrier that blocks UV penetration, inhibits biological growth, and repels moisture before it reaches the substrate. Colour is preserved. Surfaces resist the chalking and oxidation that typically requires repainting within a few years.

Applied to rendered walls, cladding, signage panels, external glazing, and entry structures. One application extends surface life significantly — and on the Sunshine Coast and across SEQ, where UV exposure is among the highest in the country, that difference is measurable.
